You will need an A A M C I D to register for the exam. 



This A A M C I D is associated username and password.

  • If you already have an A A M C account, 


  • Then sign-in but if you don't have, click create account at the right side of the page.

  • You must use the same username and password when registering for your exam.


  • If you can't remember your account details, you can reset your password or request your username on the log-in page.


  • Contact the A A M C account help team to resolve the situation.


P S - If you do not have an existing A A M C I D, you will be directed to create an account and establish a username and password when logging into the Registration System. 


If you cannot remember your username or password, do not create a new A A M C I D. 


A A M C Account Help Team takes two (2) days to respond.






MCAT Registration Process





Enter the spelling of your first and last names in the registration System exactly the way they appear on the Test-Accepted I D you will use on test day.



Do not register using a nickname, partial names, or initials, and be sure to double-check for misspellings.



P S - If you do not provide an Test-Accepted I D that exactly matches your registered first and last names at the exam, you will not be allowed to test. 



You will be considered a 'no-show'. 



You will not receive a refund, and the appointment will count toward your testing limits. 



Even if an I D is valid for flight travel, it may not meet all the requirements for taking the Exam.







Identification (I D) Requirements



The requirements include the following -



  • An I D issued by a government agency.


  • I D's expiration date is printed on it and is not extended by a sticker or similar mechanism.


  • The I D's expiration date is after your exam date. 


  • For instance, if your I D will expire before the scheduled test date, you are responsible for obtaining and updated one before exam and account for processing time of government agencies when selecting the exam time.


  • I D must include a visible signature, which you be asked to duplicate on test day.


  • I D contains a photo that can be used to positively identify you.


  • I D must be tangible and whole, with no evidence of tampering (clipped corners, holes, etc.)




P S - You must meet all the following requirements for the I D to be accepted on test day. 



The most common forms of I D accepted are state driver's license (with all above requirements) and passport. 






Identification (I D) Rejection



List of reasons why Identification (I D) documents are rejected follows -



  • Passport card - does not have a signature


  • Paper or I D application receipt of any kind cannot be validated


  • Credit card – not issued by a government agency


  • Veterans I D (V I C) – does not have a signature


  • Birth certificate – does not have a photo


  • Social security card – does not have a photo


  • Virtual or digital I D cannot be validated


  • School I D – not issued by a government agency


  • Temporary I D with extension sticker, renewal paperwork or I D application receipt for any kind as we are unable to validate authenticity except you are a military personnel 

  • Dependents stationed outside their home state may present a state-issued driver's license with extension stickers or paper-work that meet all other Test-accepted I D conditions

  •  Come along with your un-expired uniformed services I D card.


  • If the I D has a word 'temporary' printed on it due to your current status within the country then, you must contact A A M C Services for instructions.


  • Employee I D – even if issued by a government agency, it will not be accepted


  • Library card (including those issued by government agencies) can-not be validated





Who is eligible to take the MCAT in United States of America, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada?






Registration is available for both domestic and international student.



For domestic students, if you are interested in any health profession schools (programs) then you are eligible. 



The health profession school (programs) includes the following -



  • M D – granting programs


  • D O – granting programs


  • D P M – Podiatric


  • D V M – veterinary medicine


  • Any other health-related program that will accept exam results to satisfy a test score admissions requirement.



P S - during your registration, you will be asked to verify that you want to apply to a health professions school. (Health professions programs)



For international students, if you are in or hold an M B B S degree program, you can register for the exam without seeking special permission.



You can only seek special permission if you aren’t planning to apply to a health professions school or if you are a currently enrolled medical student (other than a M B B S degree program) before you register for the exam.

When should I take the MCAT exam

The perfect time to take exam is when you feel most prepared and ready. 



There isn’t any particular solution that will work for everyone. 



But when making this decision, you should have three (3) questions you must ask yourself.



  1. When do I want to attend medical school?
  2. Do I think I might need to test more than once?
  3. Have I mastered the content tested on the exam?








Are there required courses I need to take before taking the MCAT exam in United States of America, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada?





All of the content on the exam is covered in introductory courses at most colleges and universities, including introductory biology, general, bio and organic chemistry, physics and first-semester psychology, sociology. 



Research methods and statistics concepts on the exam are used in introductory science labs as well as introductory psychology and sociology courses.

There are testing limits on how many times one can take the exam.



There are three (3) phases to attempt the exam namely -


  1. Single testing year
  2. Two consecutive-year period
  3. Lifetime

The exam can be taken up to three (3) times.

The exam can be taken up to four (4) times.




  • Lifetime  


The exam can be taken up to seven (7) times in a lifetime.




P S - you can only register for one seat at a time.








What does an optional break mean in United States of America, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada?






You can go on to the next section in the exam if you finish the previous section early or if you want to skip one of the optional breaks. 


The remaining time from a section you finished early or a skipped break won’t be carried over to the next section of the exam.









Can I see what seats are available without losing my current seat reservation in United States of America, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada?




Yes, you can!



All you need to do is go to the registration system to see the current seat availability. 



You won’t lose your current seat until you submit payment for a new seat.









What is the last day that I can reschedule or cancel my MCAT exam date in United States of America, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada?



There are three (3) scheduling zones for each exam date namely -

 
  1. Gold 
  2. Silver 
  3. Bronze 



There are dead-lines to re-schedule or cancel your exam in each zone and occurs after a number of days prior to the exam.




P S - All dead-lines take effect at 11:59 p.m. local, test center time.









What are the scheduling fees, cancellations, refunds, and deadlines for MCAT Exam?





  • The re-scheduling and cancellation fees will be waived until further notice to allow for more flexibility during this testing period.



  • Scheduling an Exam is done once you have answered the necessary registration questions about your contact, background, and education information and agreed to various terms and policies


  • You will be able to schedule a test date and location.


  • For scheduling details, the most current list of test centers is available in the MCAT Registration System.


  • Test centers have limited capacity, and seats are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.


  • You must complete your registration online through the registration system before you schedule your appointment.


  • Once scheduled, you will receive an email confirming your appointment.



P S - If you do not receive an email confirmation within 24 hours of scheduling (be sure to check your spam folder first), please contact MCAT immediately. 


This confirmation email will include the details of your appointment including the name you used to register. 


Be sure to compare this name to the name on the Test-accepted I D you will use on test day.





For scheduling fees and dead-lines



There are three scheduling zones for each exam date -

 
  1. Gold, 
  2. Silver, 
  3. Bronze. 



  • For each exam date, Gold Zone scheduling fees are lower and flexibility is higher. 


  • Fees are higher and flexibility is limited in the Bronze Zone. 


  • All deadlines for the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Zones are set number of days before the exam. 


  • All deadlines take effect at 11:59 p.m. local, test-center time. 


  • Exam start times will be at 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. local test-center time. 


  • You should arrive 30 minutes before the start time





For cancellations and refunds

 

  • Cancellations is made online through the registration system before the bronze zone deadline.


  • You will receive an email confirming your cancellation.


  • If you do not receive an email within 24 hours of your cancellation request, please contact MCAT immediately.


  • If you wish to cancel your appointment, you must do so by the Bronze Zone scheduling dead-line associated with your current exam date.


  • If you do not cancel your appointment and you do not sit for the exam, you will lose an attempt.


  • It may take up to 24 hours after your original appointment time before you are able to schedule a new appointment.


  • You will be required to pay the full, initial scheduling fee.


  • If you cancel before the Gold Zone scheduling deadline associated with your exam date, you will receive a refund in accordance with the current year’s scheduling fees found in Scheduling and Fees.


  • If you cancel after the Gold Zone scheduling deadline, you will not receive a refund.


  • Additional fees paid for rescheduling or for international sites are non-refundable, and they will not extend any deadlines for any reason.


  • Refunds are automatically applied to the credit or debit card used for the initial scheduling. 


  • Depending on the card company’s policy, the funds may take a few days to clear.





For emergency refund


 

Refunds due to an emergency may be requested after an exam if one of the following occurs after the silver zone scheduling deadline -



  • You are hospitalized.


  • You experience a death in your immediate family.


  • You are unexpectedly called away to active military service.


  • You are unexpectedly called away for health care service duties related to a catastrophic event.


  • You are called to jury duty the day of your exam.


  • You are displaced from your residence due to a natural disaster.


  • The maximum emergency refund amount is the current year’s Gold Zone cancellation refund.


  • This exam may still count as one of your attempts toward your testing limits.


  • If you know you will be unable to take your exam then it is advised to cancel your appointment before the bronze zone deadline. 


  • If possible, to guarantee your attempt is not counted.


  • You will be asked to provide supporting documentation with your request. 


  • Supporting documentation includes any hospital records, official requests for deployment or jury duty, funeral program or death certification, and proof of displacement.


  • Complete requests for emergency-related refunds, including all necessary accompanying documentation, must be received no later than three weeks (21 days) after your scheduled exam date.

Is there a way to be notified if a test day and location becomes available in United States of America, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada?
